Release and Rise: A New Year’s Retreat

With over 14+ years in the yoga and wellness industry, I'm thrilled to be hosting another retreat at Xinalani. I'm an E-RYT 500 Yoga Instructor, ICF Professional Coach, Reformer Pilates Instructor, Sound Healer, and Ayurvedic Consultant. I take a thematic approach to my yoga classes and bring experience, empathy, and intention to every retreat, workshop, or class that I host. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy camping or hiking with my family in the mountains in Colorado and enjoying a nerdy Romantasy novel.

Joanna Taubeneck is a psychotherapist and yoga teacher of 13+ years. She is a licensed clinical professional counselor and dance/movement therapist, as well as an advanced level somatic experiencing practitioner in training. Joanna brings her trauma-informed and empathic therapeutic lens to her yoga teaching and aims to support her students to feel embodied and expansive. Joanna is also a former professional dancer, and loves creating dance-y yoga sequences that allow for creative expression and movement to the beat of rhythmic music. When she's not teaching yoga or facilitating therapy sessions, you can find Joanna on her own yoga mat or adventuring with her partner and her beagle, Theo.
