Transfer Instructions

Dear Guest,

Your mexican wellness adventure is just around the corner. Before you embark on this life enriching trip and get to experience the wonders of Xinalani (pronounce she-nah-lah-knee), please take 5 minutes to read the following instructions for your arrival to the resort. Also, don’t forget to check your boat schedule.

Group leaders please forward this email to your guests.

ARRIVING TO THE AIRPORT

Once you clear immigration, collect your luggage and follow the way towards the exit. You will need to run through two rooms of timeshare representatives offering you unwanted help, information, free drinks, transportation and excursions. Make no mistake, they’re just trying to send you to their own resort.

Once you exit the arrival gate, immediately at your left hand side, you will see the VIP service booth, Aero Movil is the cab service company that will take you to Puerto Mágico Terminal Marítima. They’ll have your flight information, you can find your details on the screen which is located beside the booth, they’ll know where to take you. The cab ride to the pier should take around 15 minutes.

The airport has been really busy lately, the lines at customs and at the taxi site have been longer than usual.

For those guests arriving before to Puerto Vallarta, please arrive directly to Terminal Marítima (Puerto Magico) 10 minutes before your boat is scheduled.

GETTING TO THE TERMINAL MARITIMA

Puerto Mágico is a big marine facility for tourist boats (Pirates!), and cruise liners.

CAUTION

Please know that Puerto Mágico is a Federal Zone so before taking the boat it is necessary to go through the security filter where officials, navy and army with the canines will check your luggage for safety. They will not allow access with large glass containers, plastic water bottles, alcohol, drugs, THC/CBD oils, vapers, drones, weapons, scissors, other large steel tools, etc..

Our host Andre will meet you at the gate and take you to Xinalani’s boat. Please know that waiting at the Terminal Maritima could take up to an hour depending on boat traffic.

YOUR BOAT SCHEDULE:

Please refresh the page to see the newest boat schedule.
Our policy states that the re will be no changes to boat times within 48 hours of arrival.

The boat ride takes around 45 minutes. We recommend wearing shorts and sandals as you may get wet up to your knees when you get off the boat.

Lancha de Xinalani

The last boat leaving the hotel on check-out day is at 12:00 pm.

On departure, boats are scheduled by default to leave the resort at least 3 hours before flight departure, knowing that the boat transfer may last between 30 to 45 min and the cab/van ride may last between 5 and 15 minutes. Xinalani will make their best efforts to adapt the transfer schedule to their guest’s comfort, but declines responsibility for any delay or, on the contrary, unexpected waiting time at the airport.

Note for Group Leaders.

Please review the transportation information provided in advance to address any inquiries before we send it to your participants. Your week’s schedule will be updated 72 hours before arrival.

ARRIVING TO XINALANI

From May to October, the boat leaves us right on the beach at the resort. The rest of the year, the waves are too high for that. For safety reasons we disembark at Quimixto. From the pier to Xinalani, there’s a 10 minutes walk through the little town. Our staff will carry your luggage on a ATV.

On the arrival date breakfast is not included. Lunch will be provided as long as you arrive between the scheduled lunch time 2:30 – 3:30 PM.

SPECIAL SITUATIONS:

IF YOU ARRIVE EARLY

If you arrive early at Puerto Mágico Terminal Maritima, go ahead and seat at the waiting room, our staff will meet you there.

IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER

If the ocean is too rough to make the cross-bay transfer from the marina, you will be rerouted to Boca de Tomatlán pier (50 min cab ride). Once you get there please look for Restaurant “El embarcadero”, next to the pier. You can wait there while Xinalani’s boat crew arrives. The boat ride from Boca to Xinalani takes 10 minutes.

IF YOU’RE DELAYED, CONTACT US

In case of delay, we will reassign you to another boat schedule or offer you alternatives. The boat can wait for you up to 6:00 PM at Boca de Tomatlán pier.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET IN TOO LATE?

Remember that for safety reasons, Xinalani does not operate boat transfers at night time. Anyone on a flight that lands after 4:00 PM will have to spend the night in town at their own expense. In this case, we will email you a list of hotels and new boat schedule for the next morning. Xinalani does not refund or credit the void night as it is considered a no-show.

Xinalani is in the jungle. To avoid animal nuisance, please do not bring to your room any food, drinks, supplements, vitamins, medicine. There’s a special closet for this near the front desk. Ask our receptionists for more details.

Mornings are usually cooler than expected, bring layers.
