Getting to Xinalani is the beginning of your retreat experience. Here are a few essential tips to make your journey seamless and stress-free.

1. Arrive in Puerto Vallarta Before 4:00 pm
Book a flight that lands at Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) no later than 4:00 pm. This timing ensures you’ll have plenty of daylight for your transfer to the hotel. From the airport, our trusted taxi service will pick you up and take you directly to the pier—you’ll be in good hands from the moment you land.

2. The Boat Ride: Adventure on the Way
The boat ride takes about 40 minutes and is part of the Xinalani experience. Keep your eyes open—you might spot dolphins, manta rays, sea turtles, or even whales in season. For safety, we always travel in daylight. Depending on the waves, the boat will either:
- Dock at the village pier: from there, it’s a flat 15-minute walk to the hotel (your luggage will be transported for you).
- Drop you off at Xinalani’s beach: a direct landing that means dipping your feet in the ocean!
3. Bring Cash for Tips
There are no ATMs in the village, so it’s best to withdraw pesos or U.S. dollars at the airport or maritime terminal before you arrive.
4. Pack Smart for the Jungle and the Beach
Remember, Xinalani is nestled in the jungle by the sea. Essentials include:
- Swimsuit and plenty of lightweight clothing.
- A light sweatshirt for cooler evenings.
- Sandals for the beach.
- Sneakers for jungle hikes and the walk from the pier.
- And don’t forget a white outfit for our special Friday night dinner on the sand.
