Over the past 24 hours, many of you have reached out with care and concern following news related to a federal security operation in the state of Jalisco and the capture of a criminal organization leader.

We are deeply grateful for your messages. Community is everything to us.

We would like to share a grounded and transparent update.

Puerto Vallarta returning to Calm and Peace

While isolated disturbances occurred yesterday in parts of the region — including temporary road blockages and vehicle burnings — Puerto Vallarta is calm today.

Quimixto remained peaceful throughout the day.
There were no incidents affecting our properties.
All guests and staff are safe and well.

Retreat programs are continuing as planned, held in the same atmosphere of presence, connection, and tranquility that defines us.

The events appear to have been a spontaneous reaction to the news and were not directed toward tourist or hospitality areas.

Travel & Airport Status

Some transportation logistics were briefly impacted, and a number of flights were rescheduled.

However:

  • The Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) has remained open
  • Authorities are maintaining a strong and visible presence
  • Flight operations are expected to progressively return to normal in the course of the day

We expect full normalization in the coming days.

If you are traveling this week, we recommend checking directly with your airline for routine updates, as you would with any travel situation.

Holding Steady in Community

Puerto Vallarta is a resilient and well-established destination. Moments of disruption linked to broader security operations can occur, but they tend to stabilize quickly.

At this time, there is no indication that upcoming stays, retreats, or group programs will be affected from a safety standpoint.

We continue to monitor the situation closely and remain in direct contact with local authorities and airport officials.

Our commitment is simple: transparency, safety, and care for our community.

If you have any questions about your upcoming retreat or stay, our team is here to support you.

With gratitude,
The Xinalani & Mixto Management Team
