Here is our transparent update from the ground as of February 25.

Current Safety Situation in Puerto Vallarta

The situation has stabilized.

On Tuesday February 24, the Governor of Jalisco officially lifted the temporary “Código Rojo” security alert. Puerto Vallarta is calm and operating normally.

On Sunday February 22, isolated disturbances occurred in parts of the state, including temporary road blockages and vehicle burnings. These incidents were not directed toward tourist areas and were resolved quickly. There was no casualty, no gunfire, no civilians involved, however a lot of misinformation rapidly circulated on social media.

As of today:

  • Puerto Vallarta is peaceful
  • Tourist zones are operating normally
  • Transportation services are functioning
  • Authorities maintain a strong and visible presence
  • Quimixto has remained calm throughout

All guests and staff at Xinalani and Mixto are safe, and retreat programs continue as scheduled.

Airport & Flights Update (February 2025)

According to Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP):
